CERIMED OBTAINS DUAL ISO 9001:2015 AND NF X50-900:2016 CERTIFICATION FOR ITS PRE-CLINICAL RADIOLOGICAL AND NUCLEAR SERVICE AND INNOVATION ACTIVITIES

On June 5, 2022, the European Center for Research in Medical Imaging (CERIMED, UMS AMU CNRS 2012) obtained dual ISO 9001:2015 and NF-X50-900 certification for its pre-clinical research service activities, at the outcome of the audit carried out by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA).

For Professor Benjamin GUILLET, Radiopharmacist and Director of CERIMED, “it is a satisfaction that crowns a long work of formalization of rigorous practices already implemented in a highly regulated environment: that of preclinical imaging in vivo radiological and nuclear, and the development of innovative health products in this field. I would like to thank Aix-Marseille University, in particular the Continuous Improvement Department, the AMU and A*MIdex technological platforms system for their strategic support, the GIS IBISa for its valuable operational support in setting up the approach, the cabinet LRQA for its dynamism and its reactivity, and of course all the actors of the Quality unit of CERIMED for their unfailing implication in this project.”

The ISO 9001 standard is internationally recognized, and represents for many foreign customers wishing to work with CERIMED, a guarantee of confidence. The NF X50-900 standard constitutes, on the national territory, an evolution of the ISO 9001 standard specific to the activities of service platforms for research. This double CERIMED certification provides its customers and partners with the assurance that the teams work according to high-level standards, based on a certified quality management system (QMS), based on the process approach, the continuous improvement culture, team competence and customer satisfaction, to ensure the quality, reliability, safety and reproducibility of the service provided.

For Dr Philippe Garrigue, MCU-PH radiopharmacist and head of CERIMED’s QMS, “this double certification does not just represent a simple recognition of the work accomplished as a team, it constitutes the starting point for the continuous improvement of our research activities. innovation and service, as well as a real source of new opportunities for CERIMED”.

It is also a stone added to the building of the ISO-9001 quality approach undertaken by the Presidency of Aix-Marseille University.
